🪴Prayer When Crying Out

Psalm 34:17-18 - The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

In moments of despair, when our hearts are heavy and our spirits crushed, it can feel like we are walking through a long, shadowed valley. It's in these times that crying out to God isn't just a cry of desperation, but a profound act of faith. By turning to God, we acknowledge His sovereignty and trust in His unfailing love and compassion.

Remember, when you cry out to God, you're in the company of many faithful servants who have gone before you. David, in his psalms, often expressed deep anguish and pleaded for God’s intervention. Yet, through his cries, he always returned to a place of trust and praise.

God’s response to our cries may not always be immediate, or in the form we expect, but He promises to be close to the brokenhearted. This closeness is not a mere sentiment; it's a profound reality. In your tears, in your pain, God is there. He understands your heartache more than anyone else can. He sees your tears, and He hears your cries. And in His perfect time and way, He will deliver, heal, and restore.
